Approaching Medicare
People getting close to Medicare eligibility who need to understand timing and how it may interact with workplace coverage.
For partners
Workplace benefit programs are built around plan eligibility. Benefits Beyond Work helps benefit plan sponsors, brokers and consultants, PEOs, associations, and other organizations provide continuity when employment, eligibility, or household circumstances move someone beyond those traditional boundaries — with personal insurance solutions and household support for what comes next.
Population first
We start with the population, not a product set. Each of these groups tends to need something different when workplace eligibility doesn't apply — or stops applying. One organization often has several of them.
People getting close to Medicare eligibility who need to understand timing and how it may interact with workplace coverage.
Employees, retirees, and household members navigating Medicare decisions.
People reviewing what changes when workplace benefits end and personal coverage begins.
People who have already moved beyond workplace benefits and their households.
Employees who continue working past 65 and need help understanding how coverage may coordinate.
Employees who may not meet traditional benefit eligibility requirements.
People evaluating what comes after employer-sponsored coverage.
Employees and dependents whose eligibility changes.
People affected by job changes, reductions, leaves, or other employment transitions.
People moving from workplace coverage to personal coverage.
Other groups experiencing Life Changes with insurance or benefit implications.

Positioning
Benefits Beyond Work supports populations outside traditional benefit eligibility and those transitioning beyond workplace coverage. A transition can affect more than healthcare — it may touch life insurance, disability, voluntary benefits, supplemental protection, retirement-related considerations, and legacy or beneficiary preparedness. We work alongside existing brokers, consultants, and benefit programs — not as a replacement for them, and never as an administrator of the Benefit Plan Sponsor's plan or a determiner of plan eligibility or rights.
We do not replace coverage or programs that already serve the member appropriately.
We provide a destination when traditional eligibility changes or ends.
The relationship can continue beyond the employee and beyond the workplace.
Partner experience
Partner determines which population may benefit from support.
Benefits Beyond Work provides an appropriate education, communication, or engagement pathway.
Begin with the member's situation rather than an insurance product.
Where appropriate, consider related Medicare, healthcare, retirement, and legacy needs.
Members and their families have a personal-insurance resource as needs change beyond the workplace.
Financial Relationship Manager
A Financial Relationship Manager gives members and their households a consistent point of relationship as their needs change — helping them understand what is changing, identify what may need attention, and coordinate appropriate next steps. That continuity is what distinguishes this from a referral hand-off.
Members and their households have one point of contact who understands what changed and what it touched — so the relationship continues after workplace eligibility does not.
The support
What's needed depends on what's changing. Some populations need education. Some need individual help. Many need both.
Educational content and virtual sessions on relevant benefit and insurance transitions — approaching Medicare, Medicare and workplace coverage, retirement-related benefit changes, leaving workplace coverage, Portability & Conversion considerations, healthcare coverage transitions, and beneficiary preparedness.
Members and their households can access individual support when they need help understanding what is changing and which areas may need attention.
A transition affecting one person may also affect healthcare coverage, protection, beneficiaries, or other needs elsewhere in the household. Depending on what's changing, one or several areas may need attention.
Where appropriate, personal insurance solutions across Medicare, Healthcare, Retirement, and Legacy — based on what's actually changing, not a fixed product set.
Delivery
Benefits Beyond Work is a national, virtual model, which makes education and individual support workable across geographically distributed populations.
